Typical Application


The SY7M007 is the sensor side device of an isolated metering chipset for single-phase and poly-phase elec- tricity metering applications. It can be combined with a compatible Silergy host and other SY7M007 devices to form a fully isolated meter based on shunt sensors. The SY7M007 provides two analog inputs interfacing to voltage and current sensors. Scaled voltages from the sensors are digitized by the SY7M007 using high- resolution delta-sigma ADCs with pin-selectable gains. The device continuously sends trim data, silicon ver- sion, voltage/current measurement and device temperature measurement to a compatible Silergy host processor. Isolation of the SY7M007 from the rest of the chipset is accomplished using capacitive coupling and can be implemented with discrete components or

with PCB capacitors.
