The SA89853 is a 12-bit multi-channel analog-to-digital converter (ADC) featuring a successive approximation register (SAR) architecture with a built-in sample and hold circuit. The device supports a wide analog supply range of 2.7V to 5.25V. The low power consumption makes this device ideal for battery-powered and isolated power supply applications.
The device features two software-selectable input ranges (0V to VREF and 0V to 2xVREF), individually configurable general-purpose input/outputs (GPIOs), and two programmable alarm thresholds per channel. It also includes a power-down feature to conserve energy when operating at reduced conversion speeds.
