The SY6916A is a high efficiency multi-cell battery charger controller with N-channel MOSFETs power path selector. The SY6916A charges 1 cell to 4 cells battery pack. Battery charge voltage, battery charge current, battery discharge current and adapter input current limit are programmed by system controller by SMBus interface.
The SY6916A device supports power turbo boost mode. It allows the battery to provide supplement current to the system to avoid AC adapter overloading.
The SY6916A is available in QFN4×4-28 package to allow small PCB footprint.
