The SY7M7xxJ/SY7T7xxJ is a versatile electricity metering SoC for polyphase electricity meters and power monitoring systems, featuring Silergy’s proprietary Teridian power measurement technology.
The part contains three dedicated ADCs (ADCS) for current measurement and one multiplexed ADC (ADCM) for phase voltages and neutral current. CTs or Rogowski coils can be used as current sensors, and shunts can be connected using up to three SY7M007 capacitively coupled remote interface ICs.
An embedded 64-bit Compute Engine (CE) operating from a separate RAM at 40MHz performs computations, data formatting, and reporting of metrology parameters to the Cortex M0 core, which also operates at 40MHz. With 512KB integrated flash memory for storing code, nonvolatile calibration coefficients and device configuration settings, the part offers an autonomous metrology solution that can interface to an optional host processor through its SPI, UART, or I2C ports.
The part provides extensive hardware support for encryption and decryption, including a true random number generator.
The SY7M713J is available in a 100-pin LQFP package that is pin-to-pin compatible with the SY7M213H. The SY7M763J is available in a 128-pin LQFP package, offering 19 additional DIO/LCD segment pins, and the SY7T733J offers a space saving 68-pin QFN package.
